2。5 stars。 I might be crazy but this book is not how teenagers talk。 Like in any manner。 We do not talk about “smashing the patriarchy” because we educate ourselves and often have productive conversations。 Also there were way too many plot points that didn’t have an ending。 But I can’t give this book two stars cause I did enjoy some of it。 Also what are they talking about love? You are 17 and have known each other for a month。 Calm down ad get to know each other first。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 When I realized who the guy was in this book, I thought I was going to hate it。 I almost stopped reading because I literally finished the princess and the fan girl yesterday, so I was still mad at how horrible Vance was to imogene/jess but I kept going and ended up loving it! This whole series is just so comfortable and fun!

Although I did enjoy this one, I found it really lacking compared to the first two Con books。 Partly this was because it didn't have the comic con vibes of the first two but mostly it was because it was so clichéd without anything new about it。 Although I did enjoy this one, I found it really lacking compared to the first two Con books。 Partly this was because it didn't have the comic con vibes of the first two but mostly it was because it was so clichéd without anything new about it。 。。。more

This retelling of the classic story is just filled with wit and easter eggs, I couldn't put it down。 I haven't read the other books but it really wasn't a big deal for me in order to understand the story。 It's sweet and funny, I'd reread it again! It was cute。 I liked the first two books in the series better, but it still was a good story and a good adaption of Beauty and the Beast。 I also loved that there was a non-binary character and a bi dad。 ❤️

This book is super cute and adorable。 I enjoyed reading Rosie and Vance's interactions with each other; it's a slight slow burn with a dash of enemies。 Vance's growth in this book is probably one of my favorites。 It felt very genuine。 The romance did feel a little rushed in the middle, but I like how the ending wrapped it up。 One thing I will say is this book feels very dated。 There were some memes and references that were very cringey which I feel would draw some readers away。 I also wasn't a b This book is super cute and adorable。 I enjoyed reading Rosie and Vance's interactions with each other; it's a slight slow burn with a dash of enemies。 Vance's growth in this book is probably one of my favorites。 It felt very genuine。 The romance did feel a little rushed in the middle, but I like how the ending wrapped it up。 One thing I will say is this book feels very dated。 There were some memes and references that were very cringey which I feel would draw some readers away。 I also wasn't a big fan of the references to the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast; they drew me out of the story and ruined the flow, especially in the beginning。 Even so, this story still manages to be cute and adorable and the perfect YA contemporary romance if you're looking for something quick and will leave you feeling happy。 。。。more

Really a 3。5 star read but it was cute。 I don’t read much YA but this book is definitely with keeping with the times。 Here we have an inclusive cast, including non-binary which is the first I’ve read so far in modern fiction。 A bit formulaic but I guess for a YA book, it’s a good read。

This book is the nerdy YA equivalent of a Hallmark movie。 If you're looking for a lighthearted, fun rom-com I would recommend it。 It was a road trip read for me! The beginning was rough, but as I felt more comfortable in the story, I could suspend my disbelief and really get into it! 3。5/5。 This book is the nerdy YA equivalent of a Hallmark movie。 If you're looking for a lighthearted, fun rom-com I would recommend it。 It was a road trip read for me! Where to start。 First off I have to show off a little bit: I read this book in less than 6 hours。 It has 320 pages。 I think that will gonna be my life accomplishment。 But, let's not deviate from the topic。 This book is a typical fanfic with a bad boy and and seemingly innocent girl。 And I love it。 I love that we can see changes that takes place in the main characters。 To see how their feelings for each other change。 My favourite characters are: Annie, Quinn and Imogen。 They are all strong and sa Where to start。 First off I have to show off a little bit: I read this book in less than 6 hours。 It has 320 pages。 I think that will gonna be my life accomplishment。 But, let's not deviate from the topic。 This book is a typical fanfic with a bad boy and and seemingly innocent girl。 And I love it。 I love that we can see changes that takes place in the main characters。 To see how their feelings for each other change。 My favourite characters are: Annie, Quinn and Imogen。 They are all strong and sarcastic。 I also love the fact that author included part of LGBTQ+ community in book。 First one is Quinn, a non-binary person and second is Rosie's dad, who is bisexual。 Whole story is very romantic and just awesome。 I definitely will read the rest of books written by Ashley Poston <3。 。。。more

I listened to this book with a friend while we were on a road trip this past weekend and I was geeking out during the entire read。 I love how each of the characters in this series comes back in each of the books。 It was super fun getting to see other characters from the previous two books make guest appearances。 In this book, I thought that the banter between the characters was super fun。 I love a good “anonymous lovers to enemies to lovers” trope。 Watching these characters grow and develop was I listened to this book with a friend while we were on a road trip this past weekend and I was geeking out during the entire read。 I love how each of the characters in this series comes back in each of the books。 It was super fun getting to see other characters from the previous two books make guest appearances。 In this book, I thought that the banter between the characters was super fun。 I love a good “anonymous lovers to enemies to lovers” trope。 Watching these characters grow and develop was something that I found to be very neat。 Throughout the book, you can see Rosie and Vance discovering things about themselves and what they're capable of。 I think each character comes out of their shell in different ways。 And as per usual I love the way that there is queer representation throughout the books。 One of Rosie's best friends is non-binary and then Rosie's dad is bisexual。 I also think that the inclusion of a bisexual man in this book was awesome because I'm finding that more often than not bisexual representation is being given predominantly to women。 This book was a super fun read。 One of the things that I have loved about the Once Upon a Con series is that overall they're very fun and have a sort of campy feel to them while also causing readers to reflect on how we view celebrities and other aspects of our society。 。。。more

I like how all three of these books are marginally connected through the characters, but each is its own story from the point of view of the two main people in the book。 Rosie is probably the character most similar to myself by far--book lover, sci-fi lover, introvert with a couple of close friends who get her through the drama of high school。 My absolute favourite bit was during the homecoming football game。 I won't spoil it, but a true laugh out loud moment for me。 Good thing I wasn't reading I like how all three of these books are marginally connected through the characters, but each is its own story from the point of view of the two main people in the book。 Rosie is probably the character most similar to myself by far--book lover, sci-fi lover, introvert with a couple of close friends who get her through the drama of high school。 My absolute favourite bit was during the homecoming football game。 I won't spoil it, but a true laugh out loud moment for me。 Good thing I wasn't reading on public transport。 。。。more

This book is literally so cute。 It’s a modern day retelling of beauty and the beast and it hits every bar。 Some of the plot was a little cringe, but the dialogue and character progression made up for it。 The references to AO3 and other bookish things made it 10x better。 Also, the acknowledgments sold me on this author and I can’t wait to read more from her。
